Avatar is returning to theaters, but disappearing from Disney Plus

Avatar: The Way of Water is slated for release this December, but there’s one pretty big problem. It is a sequel to the movie released 13 years ago. Most of us now barely remember what happened in last week’s episode of She-Hulk (one of which he’s not actually in the movie, see if we can guess which one).

James Cameron and his crew found a solution. Bringing the first avatar back into the theater.

The 2009 film will hit theaters for two weeks starting September 23, and will run in “all formats” including IMAX, 4K/HDR and, of course, 3D, according to a trailer released on Tuesday.
