Kid Cudi Will Replace Ye at Rolling Loud Miami

The festival has announced that Kanye West, also known as Ye, is no longer the protagonist of the first night of Rolling Loud Miami 2022. Instead, Kid Cudi will perform at Hard Rock Stadium on Friday, July 22nd. Future and Kendrick Lamar will decorate the headlines for the next two nights of the festival.

“You are excited about the Rolling Loud Miami 2022 Rolling Loud co-founders Tariq Cherif and Matt Zingler said in a statement shared with Pitchfork. “We spent months performing with him and his team. Unfortunately, you have decided that he will no longer play. This is the first time headliners have stopped our show and we haven’t downplayed it, but hope they are the best. Kid Cudi is excited to make headlines in Miami and can’t wait to see what he has.

Earlier this year, West was announced to head the 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. He withdrew from the headlining slots a few weeks before the festival after West suggested not appearing at an event in Indio, California. Since then, he has been accused by a Los Angeles-based production and design company of not paying for West’s canceled Coachella performance work.

In February, West hosted the Donda Experience performance in Miami. During the show, West played many songs from Donda 2 in the game, including “Easy.” West recently reunited with The Game to play “Eazy” at the event of Compton Rapper’s next album, Drillmatic.

Also in February, West and Kid Cudi had a public discussion.
