Sevilla vs. Real Madrid score: Los Blancos mount stunning comeback as Benzema scores dramatic winner
Things are not looking good for Real Madrid on Sunday in La Liga. Los Blancos lost 2-0 half an hour ago to a talented Sevilla side with a brilliant defence. Ahead of them lies an hour of regulation against Spain’s best defence, which has conceded just 22 goals in 31 games. But what might be impossible for others usually happens at Real Madrid this season.
After their last appearance against Chelsea in the Champions League, they did it again against former coach Hulen Lopetegui coming back 2-0 and winning 3-2. All of Real’s goals came in the second half, with superstar striker Karim Benzema scoring the winner in the 92nd minute. Here’s the goal
Real won the possession battle with 59.5 per cent and beat Sevilla 14:8. Los Blancos also recorded an excellent xG of 1.60 versus 0.98 for Sevilla. The hosts scored from Ivan Rakitic and Eric Lamela within five minutes of the first half.
The result in the end really didn’t change much as they went away with the league title. They are now 15 points clear of Barcelona, Seville and Atletico Madrid but have once again shown that they will not be knocked out.
